Author & Editor
I acted as lead author and editor for Securing the Future: A Compendium of Best Practices for Nuclear Security Management. The book was published in February 2012 by the World Institute for Nuclear Security, which is located in Vienna, Austria.
The book was presented to heads of state at the Nuclear Industry Summit that took place in Seoul, Korea, March 23-24, 2012. Click here to see a sample
Best Practice Guides (Substantive Editor)
Since 2010, the World Institute for Nuclear Security has published more than 26 International Best Practice Guides on issues dealing with nuclear security. Each one is written in English by an expert on the topic; once approved, the manuscripts are sent to me for editing.
I substantively rewrite each guide, often making fundamental changes in the way in which the story is told, while keeping the technical information in tact. I also design the overall layout of each guide and revise the graphics–or create completely new ones–to better illustrate the author’s point. On average, each guide is between 20 and 30 pages. Once complete, they are translated into six additional languages. Click here to see a sample
